OCTA-SELL: Endoscope Sterilizer Using Disposable Disinfection Solution
Currently, most hospitals and clinics in Korea and abroad use devices to sterilize endoscope scopes. Almost all of these devices use reusable endoscope sterilizers. Reusable sterilizers reuse disinfectant 30 to 80 times. Specifically, about 8 to 14L (the amount of disinfectant used varies by manufacturer) of disinfectant is stored in the endoscope sterilizer. This stored disinfectant is recycled according to the manufacturer's recommended consumption frequency or period. If the disinfectant is recycled and used in this way, there is a very high risk of transmission of AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and COVID-19.
Four-O Lab's OCTA-SELL is a disposable endoscope sterilizer that can completely eliminate the risk of cross-infection. OCTA-SELL can produce disinfectant directly within the device, and the produced disinfectant is designed to be disposed of in the sewage immediately after one use. The disinfectant solution that was created and the disinfectant solution that was sterilized will not cross or mix with each other, so it is possible to disinfect without bacteria or organic substances remaining. In addition, it is very safe because it can remove foreign substances that may be attached to the endoscope scope using the ultrasonic function.
OCTA-SELL is designed to create a new disinfectant solution each time and immediately treat it as sewage after one disinfection. It is the only sterilizer that follows the Ministry of Health and Welfare's guidelines for endoscope sterilizers, and has also been approved and certified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
In addition, to prevent the disinfectant solution from becoming less effective and less effective when it is not used on weekends or other days, it is equipped with a function that discharges the disinfectant solution that has been left for more than 48 hours after creation. This function allows users to create a new disinfectant solution and disinfect without using an expired disinfectant solution. Since it is designed to use a disinfectant solution with a certain effectiveness every time, it can be used safely. In addition, during the process of washing with water after disinfection, ultrasound is used to remove any disinfectant or organic matter that may be on the endoscope scope, so that the endoscope scope can be used in a very clean and safe state when entering the patient's body.
In addition, a product that can disinfect two endoscope scopes at the same time has recently been certified by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, so we have a lineup of single-port and dual-port endoscope sterilizers.
