Yeson Voice Center is South Korea's first and largest institution providing specialized care and surgery for voice. Various Methods of Cutting-edge Treatment
Yeson Voice Center is the only one to perform a variety of the most advanced treatments in Korea.
- Multi-laryngeal muscle Botox injection: The center succeeded in extending the duration of healthy voice through multi-laryngeal muscle Botox injection, a technique which was recently developed by the National Institute of Health/NINDS Voice Development Center to treat spasmodic dysphonia. Furthermore, by raising the possibility of finding a cure through a cranial nerve feedback study, the center gives hope to patients with spasmodic dysphonia, a disease that has been thought to be incurable.
- Microminiflap phonomicrosurgery: The center adopted a sophisticated surgical method called micro miniflap phonomicrosurgery to treat vocal disorders such as vocal nodule, vocal polyp, Reinke's Edema, and vocal cyst that can cause voice abnormality. The center is changing the misconception that surgery could alter and damage original voice by helping patients recover their original clean and clear voice.
- Phonoplasty: To perfect the transformation efforts of the increasing number of transgender patients, the center is practicing phonoplasty (vocal fold shortening and advancement of anterior commissure) which changes the voice to the opposite sex. The practice gives mental and physical help to females who have aplastic anemia, and suffer from voice change as a complication of hormone treatment.
- Laryngoscopic Pulsed Dye Laser Laryngeal Surgery: Yeson voice center implemented PhotoGenica SV PDL (Pulsed Dye Laser) from Cynosure Inc. U.S. It was the first in Korea as well as in all Asia to perform Laryngeal Surgery using digital laryngoscope without general anesthesia. The PDL laryngeal surgery is a high tech bloodless surgery which only requires partial anesthesia.
