Infectious Medical Waste Sterilization and Shredding Treatment System Infection Control Solution Waste Treatment - Infectious & medical waste
Environmentally friendly technology that does not emit harmful substances,
Medical waste treatment solution using high-temperature steam sterilization and shredding facilities
1. Load contaminated waste into the upper chamber, where a highly durable shredder grinds the waste. The shredded waste then moves to the lower chamber by gravity.
2. After shredding, the waste and all internal components of the machine are treated at a high temperature of 138°C and high pressure of 3.5 bar.
3. The center of the waste is maintained at 138°C for sterilization (Microorganism inactivation = 108)
4. After the process, the treated waste can be handled as regular waste, and the volume of sterilized and dried waste is reduced by up to 80%.
Implement System
Shihwa Medical Center has installed and is operating a fully enclosed high-temperature and high-pressure steam sterilization medical waste shredding system. Biodech is responsible for the installation approval, management, and operation of this system.
In South Korea, only four institutions operate sterilization and shredding systems, and Biodech is the only one operating a high-temperature and high-pressure steam sterilization shredding system.
