Ceramic coatings generally have a high glass transition temperature (Tg), and their coefficient of thermal expansion differs by 50 to 100 times or more compared to various metal substrates such as aluminum and steel. Due to these characteristics, sandblasting is typically required during the surface preparation process to ensure proper film formation. As a result, there may be limitations regarding the thickness and shape of applicable substrates.
To overcome these constraints, Korea Firetech Co., Ltd. has developed a No-Sanding Type non-combustible ceramic coating and coating system that eliminates the need for separate sandblasting during surface preparation.
