Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Coating

We have developed an organic–inorganic hybrid resin that combines the advantages of ceramic coatings—namely high hardness and non-combustibility—with the flexibility and workability of organic resins. This hybrid resin maintains the strengths of ceramic resins while overcoming their commonly cited drawbacks, particularly limited flexibility and poor workability.

The organic–inorganic hybrid resin (EP-175, patented) developed by our company is not a simple physical mixture of organic and inorganic resins. Instead, it is synthesized through a condensation reaction under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, combining an inorganic resin (colloidal sol) with organic resins (acrylic resin and epoxy resin). This process results in performance characteristics that are distinctly superior to those of conventional resins.
