Smart On-Site Inspection and Safety Assessment System for Class 1, 2, and 3 Facilities
The system enables immediate evaluation, condition assessment, and report generation for Class 1, 2, and 3 facilities—including buildings, tunnels, retaining walls, cut slopes, embankments, dams, bridges, wastewater treatment plants, sluices, ports, estuary dams, and water supply facilities—directly at the inspection site. By entering data on-site, inspectors can instantly perform evaluations, review condition assessment results, and generate reports (including damage/defect records, photo documentation, and assessment outcomes) in real time through an integrated platform.
Traditionally, inspections and safety assessments for Class 1, 2, and 3 facilities have been conducted by multiple specialized technicians who divide responsibilities across diverse types and scales of infrastructure. Inspectors record data on paper drawings in the field, which is subsequently consolidated, analyzed, and converted into reports by office-based evaluation personnel. This workflow often suffers from communication gaps between field inspectors and office evaluators, resulting in errors that can compromise the reliability of facility safety assessments.
Consequently, conventional labor-dependent inspection methods face limitations not only in the reliability of safety evaluations but also in the overall safety of facilities, as well as in terms of efficiency, accuracy, objectivity, and cost-effectiveness. To address these challenges, the Smart On-Site Inspection and Safety Assessment System for Class 1, 2, and 3 Facilities has been developed. The system provides real-time condition assessment and report generation, while enabling smooth data sharing among personnel, thereby improving facility safety and simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and reliability of inspection and assessment operations.
