Based on Bruker's first-generation Opterra's swept-field confocal (SFC) technology, the Opterra II system is the latest advancement in high-speed fluorescence microscopy specifically designed for live cell research. It utilizes proprietary one-dimensional pinhole array technology to combine the resolution of conventional confocal systems with the speed typically associated with wide field imaging. Equipped with special input optics that create a very uniform field of view and a sensitive CCD camera for detection, this system generates quantitative data in all dimensions while ensuring cell viability. The user-selectable aperture size gives you the flexibility to achieve an optimal balance of speed, resolution and fluorescence intensity in real time.
