1. Product Overview
□ An on-device facial authentication terminal for the SNAPPASS solution that matches the encrypted facial data stored on the user's SNAPPIN token against the face captured by the terminal itself, completing authentication entirely on-device with no network or relay-server connection required
□ A lightweight architecture that can be deployed simply by adding the terminal to existing card-based access control infrastructure, requiring no separate server build-out or network construction
2. Key Features
□ Dual-camera (HDR) simultaneous RGB/IR capture enables real-time liveness detection, blocking spoofing attempts such as photos, screen replays, and deepfakes
□ A triple parallel facial recognition process handles the token image, RGB, and IR channels simultaneously, achieving up to 2x faster authentication than sequential processing
□ Uses 1:1 matching rather than 1:N face search, so recognition speed and accuracy do not degrade as the number of registered users grows, enabling unlimited scalability
□ Equipped with a high-speed RF communication module (424 Kbps, roughly 4x faster than conventional RF cards) for high-speed reception of the encrypted facial image and user data stored on the token

4. Security & Privacy Architecture
□ Facial images and personal data used for authentication are discarded immediately upon completion, so biometric data is never centrally stored on the terminal or any server
□ Even if the token (card) is stolen, its contents remain encrypted and cannot be decrypted, eliminating the risk of data breach or hacking at the source
□ Local authentication continues to function even when the network connection is lost; a PQC (post-quantum cryptography)-based edge key-verification architecture is planned for future deployment
