The power of eggshells that save lives
An eggshell is 0.26 to 0.38 thick and about 94% of all ingredients are calcium carbonate. It is covered with as many as 17,000 tiny pores. This pores in the shell allow the carbon dioxide to escape and fresh air to get in for the chick’s breathing.
