The development aims to enhance the durability, corrosion resistance, and anchoring strength of anchors (anchor bolts) to prevent the failure and damage of structures on weak ground. The developed product, the 'Rubber Anchor Bolt,' addresses the corrosion issues of traditional anchors used to secure structures such as road and traffic structures and concrete structures by applying a cylindrical rubber packing to the anchor base. Specifically designed for structures where the supporting structure is a road and traffic structure, the 'Rubber Anchor Bolt' aims to provide a more stable anchoring solution by addressing various issues such as the detachment and damage of anchors and supporting structures due to the impact of passing vehicles.
The 'Rubber Anchor Bolt' developed by 4A SYSTEM Co., Ltd. follows a new method of securing bolts by rotating the compression nut on the bolt head. The anchor base incorporates a cylindrical NBR rubber packing for enhanced resistance to water, calcium chloride, and other corrosive elements. Unlike traditional impact or chemical anchors, this rubber anchor bolt is inserted into a pre-drilled hole, and the compression nut on the bolt head is tightened using a hex wrench. The rubber, with its elastic properties, compresses during this process, and the cylindrical shape expands, creating a secure and stable anchoring solution, irrespective of surface irregularities in the drilled hole.
In contrast to conventional metal anchors like wedges, asphalt anchors, and set anchors, which lack resistance to external factors such as water and calcium chloride, the developed rubber anchor bolt effectively prevents corrosion and loss of anchoring strength. The rubber packing, after compression within the drilled hole, expands to minimize the gap between the drilled hole and the anchor bolt, effectively preventing the ingress of water, calcium chloride, and foreign substances. This improvement enhances corrosion resistance, water resistance, and sealing properties, contributing to long-term stability and effective maintenance of structures. Furthermore, the innovative solution significantly reduces maintenance costs for structures (buildings and infrastructure).
