On January 17, Korea Water Resources Corporation (President Park Jae-hyeon) finalized the investment in the first water company of the 'Southeast Regional Innovation Venture Fund' at its headquarters in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, and held an investment contract signing ceremony with the target company.

The 'Southeast Regional Innovation Venture Fund' is a joint investment by Korea Water Resources Corporation, Ulsan City, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Korea Venture Investment to revitalize the water industry and the economy of Gyeongnam and Ulsan. As a fund investing in companies, etc., it is the second water industry fund following the Chungcheong Regional New Deal (water industry) fund in which Korea Water Resources Corporation participated in March 2021.

After signing the agreement in 2021 From 2022, 84 billion won in parent funds (parent 420, Korea Water Resources Corporation 300, local government 120) were created for 3 years from 2022, and a total of 6 sub-funds were formed by combining private funds to utilize funds worth more than 120 billion won to promote the water industry and the Gyeongnam/Ulsan region. It is a structure that invests in promising companies in the material.

The first companies that succeeded in attracting investment were Advo Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Seung-jun), which commercializes eco-friendly building structures, and Co., Ltd., which has low-carbon air purification technology using water. With the signing of this contract, 1.5 billion won will be invested in Advo Co., Ltd. and 500 million won in Gong-gong Co., Ltd.

Korea Water Resources Corporation It plans to provide a variety of effective support, such as technology demonstration and verification through the provision of test beds, on-site application and mentoring, joint participation in domestic and foreign business exhibitions, and linkage to follow-up investments, so that the companies can grow rapidly.<

Meanwhile, Korea Water Resources Corporation has invested about 100 billion won of its own funds since 2018 and is creating a water industry-specialized fund worth more than 460 billion won by 2025. Investing in the domestic water industry with the goal of securing industrial competitiveness

In particular, at the recent CES 2023, K-water introduced 10 innovative technologies while accompanying 14 domestic water companies recognized for their innovativeness. Participation, 680 export consultations, contract negotiations worth 9 million dollars, etc. It received great acclaim in recognition of the excellence of domestic water technology and the growth potential of the future water industry.
