Samsung Electronics announced provisional results for the first quarter of 2023 with sales of KRW 63 trillion and operating profit of KRW 0.6 trillion on a consolidated basis.

First quarter In terms of performance, compared to the previous quarter, sales decreased by 10.59% and operating profit by 86.08%, and year-on-year sales decreased by 19% and operating profit by 95.75%.

Provisional results are estimated based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) adopted in Korea, and are provided to help investors' convenience while the settlement of accounts has not yet been completed.

Samsung Electronics provided quarterly earnings forecasts for the first time in Korea since July 2009, and applied IFRS in 2010, providing investors with more accurate performance by providing information based on global standards.
