Hyundai Motor Group-Korea Testing & Research Institute, Opened Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center

Jeong Seong-bu, senior researcher at KTC, explains the equipment and test method of the ‘Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center (E-CQV)’
Hyundai Motor Group has established the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center (E-CQV)' for the qualitative growth of the domestic electric vehicle market in partnership with the Korea Testing & Research Institute (KTC), an internationally accredited testing institute.< /span>
Hyundai Motor Group held a meeting at the KTC main building located in Gunpo, Gyeonggi-do on the 19th (Mon) with Hyundai Motor Company GSO (Global Strategy Office) Vice President Kim Heung-soo, KTC President Ahn Seong-il, and National Institute of Technology and Standards Director Jin Jong-wook. In the midst of their attendance, an opening ceremony for the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center (E-CQV)' was held and announced that they would operate the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Quality Certification System' from the end of the year at the earliest.
Hyundai Motor Group and KTC agreed to support domestic charger manufacturers in various ways so that they can further improve the quality of chargers, and to revitalize the charging ecosystem by increasing customer satisfaction with electric car charging quality.
The establishment of the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center (E-CQV)' also establishes a credible charger quality certification system, contributing to the expansion of the supply of chargers that customers can trust and use, and ultimately enhancing customer convenience in charging electric vehicles.
The 'Electric Vehicle Charging Quality Certification System' is based on five standardized standards: △charger durability and reliability △actual charging performance △security △communication compatibility △electromagnetic wave compatibility. It is composed of quality evaluation items, and is open and operated to all manufacturers and charging companies to secure public interest and publicity. The quality verification system and quality control know-how acquired in the process of developing and operating the charging station E-pit are actively reflected in the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Quality Certification System', while establishing various services to secure the quality of the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. . E-pit, inspired by the pit stop of motorsport racing, is the Hyundai Motor Group's ultra-fast charging brand, meaning that it provides electric vehicle charging-related services quickly and easily.
Meanwhile, the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Quality Certification Center (E-CQV)' goes beyond domestic legal certification support and provides integrated legal certification services in the global electric vehicle market such as North America and Europe, reducing the time required for charger manufacturers to obtain charger certification.
In addition, we support charger manufacturers to ensure quality from the domestic charger development stage, and at the same time as mass production, we will lead the global charging infrastructure market. We plan to support it so that it can play the role of a person.
