Citibank Korea Exciting Cooperative, 'Self-reliance Ready Youth Self-reliance Support Entrepreneurship Idea Contest' Award Ceremony

The ‘Startup Idea Contest’ award ceremony was held on November 21st to support stable social entry and sustainable self-reliance of young people preparing for self-reliance.


Young people preparing for self-reliance (children ending protection) refer to children who have reached the age of 18 and have to leave child care facilities, group homes, and foster care facilities.


This contest, sponsored by Citibank Korea and hosted by the Exciting Association, was held with △'Innovative Business Ideas to Support the Stable Self-Reliance of Young People Preparing for Self-Reliance' and △'In Life Entrepreneurship ideas applied with ideas’ were divided into two fields and ideas were contested.


The Grand Prize was awarded to Park Kang-bin (individual). Park Kang-bin received the highest score from the judges by announcing “You,” a communication community platform for young people preparing for self-reliance. A prize of 4 million won was awarded to the grand prize winner.


The first prize was food, clothing, and shelter, and a prize of 2 million won.


Mr. Park Kang-bin, who received the grand prize, said, “As a young person preparing for self-reliance, I suffered from not being able to receive support because information on support projects was scattered and did not recognize the contents.” Through “,” he expressed his feelings, saying that it would be a place of communication not only to share support project information for the person concerned, but also to share difficulties and small daily life in the process of standing alone, cheering and comforting together.”

Through the 'Dream Together Startup Support Program', the winning team will be provided with opportunities to participate in training and professional mentoring for idea verification and advancement.
