Some of the new UAM aircraft designs scheduled to be unveiled by Supernal

Supernal, the American urban air mobility (UAM) corporation of Hyundai Motor Group, will participate for the first time in ‘CES 2024’ to be held in Las Vegas, USA early next year. Supernal presents a teaser image of a new UAM aircraft that will be unveiled for the first time at CES 2024 on the 20th (Wednesday), and plans to build a future AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) ecosystem that Supernal envisions at CES. It was announced that it will be presented in 2024.

Supernal's AAM strategy announcement is expected to include information on the roles that Supernal and Hyundai Motor Group intend to play in the overall AAM ecosystem, including aircraft operation and Vertiport, which serves as the airport for UAM.

In addition, Supernal plans to reveal the design of the UAM aircraft under development with the goal of commercialization in 2028 and exhibit the actual size of the aircraft.

The design and styling of the aircraft to be unveiled at CES 2024 are the result of close collaboration between Supernal and the Global Design Headquarters of Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors.

All engineering and integrated fuselage design were handled by Supernal, and interior and exterior styling was handled by Hyundai Motors and Kia Global Design Headquarters under the leadership of Luke Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Hyundai Motors and Kia.

Supernal will set up a separate exhibition hall reminiscent of Vertiport outside the Las Vegas Convention Center during the exhibition period, from Tuesday, January 9th to Friday, January 12th, where visitors can experience the same experience as actually using UAM. We plan to make it possible.

The announcement of Supernal’s AAM ecosystem strategy and the unveiling of the new UAM aircraft design will be held at the ‘Supernal CES Media Day Event’ held at the Supernal exhibition hall on January 9 (local time).
