The Korea Environmental Conservation Service (President Shin Jin-soo) under the Ministry of Environment will hold a launch ceremony at the COEX Grand Conference Room (located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul) on the afternoon of December 21 to celebrate a new beginning as a public institution specializing in environmental conservation. The Korea Environmental Conservation Institute was changed from the existing 'Environmental Conservation Association' to the 'Korea Environmental Conservation Institute' on June 11 this year with the implementation of a partial amendment to the 'Framework Act on Environmental Policy'. p>


Following this, with the inauguration of the first Director Shin Shin-soo on November 13 of this year, the duties of public institutions under the Ministry of Environment, such as public environmental education, ecological restoration, and carbon neutrality and environmental policy promotion, which are the basis of environmental conservation, were established. In order to remain faithful to and further contribute to improving people's lives through environmental conservation, we have reorganized the organization and human resources (currently 220 executives and employees).


At this launch ceremony, we strengthened our determination to realize the four core values ​​of the Korea Environmental Conservation Service: ‘People/Trust’, ‘Communication/Collaboration’, ‘Autonomy/Responsibility’, and ‘Future/Innovation’. , declares the organization's vision of becoming a 'sustainable people's life and a trusted environmental preservation professional organization' and promises to become an organization that places greater importance on people and nature.


At the launch ceremony, Minister of Environment Han Hwa-jin, National Assembly member Noh Woong-rae, who proposed the revision of the 'Framework Act on Environmental Policy', and National Assembly member Yoo Sang-beom, who co-sponsored the amendment, will attend and deliver congratulatory remarks, and executives and employees of the Korea Environmental Conservation Service will deliver congratulatory remarks. We pledge to create a new tomorrow for the future of people and nature.
