Starting January 27, 2024, Seoul City’s ‘Climate Companion Card’, an unlimited public transportation pass,, will be introduced for the first time. Following the 'Metropolitan Area Integrated Transfer System', which was first launched in Seoul in 2004 and has become a national transportation system standard, it will be implemented for the first time in the country as an eco-friendly transportation innovation commuter pass tailored to climate and transportation environmental changes.

Seoul City's Climate Companion Card is a new concept public transportation integrated pass that kills three birds with one stone by responding to climate change, unlimited use of public transportation, and convenience for people's lives. With one card, you can use not only public transportation but also public transportation. You can use your bicycle to Ttareungi without any limit. It is highly expected that it will further increase the convenience of using public transportation.

The Climate Companion Card is the only one in Korea. This is an example of creating a new service that did not exist in the existing transportation environment with a public transportation commuter pass. Since February of this year, we have been working hard to provide new transportation services by promoting policy development, consultation with transportation agencies, and development of a transportation card system. We have benchmarked the success story of 'Germany's 9-euro and 49-euro tickets' and have developed Seoul's excellent public service system. Based on the transportation system, the scope of transportation has been expanded to expand the service base.

Not only public transportation in the Seoul area, but also commuting, school, and consumption in the Seoul area, including Incheon and Gimpo cities, from 2024. The service will also be provided to local governments in nearby living areas, which is expected to increase the convenience of public transportation in the metropolitan area beyond Seoul.
