Product Description
InSenXe online NIR coating measurement system is designed for continuous web and sheet production lines. Mounted above the coating head, it performs non-contact, real-time multi-wavelength NIR sensing. By tracking wavelength-specific absorption behavior and diffuse reflectance changes, the system provides on-line monitoring of coat weight / coating thickness (e.g., hot-melt adhesive coatings). With alternative wavelength configurations, it can also be extended to moisture and film thickness applications for stronger process control.
The architecture integrates an internal reference (Prime Beam) with the external product beam and a multi-filter wheel approach to enhance long-term stability and industrial robustness. A web-based interface / touch display is available, with isolated 4–20 mA and Ethernet outputs for seamless PLC integration and closed-loop control. Typical capabilities include 0–99% moisture range and 0.2–850 gsm coat weight range, 15–35 cm working distance, and IP65 protection for demanding production environments.
