독일과의 기술제휴로 국산화에 성공한 폴리머자동용해장치는 폴리머의 저장, 혼합, 용해, 숙성, 공급을 단일 시스템 내에서 완결하는 일체형 자동용해장치로서 지속적 비례 공급의 원칙을 적용하여 용해액의 농도를 항상 일정하게 유지한다. 기존의 용해장치는 용해 탱크에서 펌프를 이용하여 공급탱크로 강제 이송하는 방식이므로 설치면적이 넓고 동력의 소모가 많을 뿐만 아니라 분말과 용수가 만나는 부위에서 자주 막히는 현상이 있어 사용상의 불편함이 많았으나 본 설비는 자동 온도조절 열선이 내장되어 막힘없이 항시 균일한 분말이 투입되어 일정한 용해도의 폴리머를 공급하며 고장의 요소를 사전 제거하므로 정기적인 약품의 투입 외에는 무인운전이 가능하게 되었다.
