Aircock, a company that systematically analyzes and cares for indoor air

Most people spend much of the day indoors. In particular, as non-face-to-face communication has increased since the coronavirus pandemic, the proportion of indoor activities has increased. As we spend more time indoors, managing indoor air quality becomes more important. It is usually thought that outdoor air is more harmful due to fine dust than indoor air, but the opposite is true. Various pollutants are emitted around indoor spaces and, due to poor ventilation, are absorbed into the human body as they float around in the air.

In fact, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), polluted indoor air has a risk that is more than 5 times higher than outdoor air, and the probability of indoor pollutants being transmitted to the lungs is approximately 1,000 times higher than outdoors. . Additionally, if you breathe in polluted air, your concentration will decrease, which will interfere with your work, and if it continues, it can cause various diseases.

Amid this trend, Aircock is developing an indoor air quality meter and monitoring system to protect people's health from indoor air pollution. It not only analyzes air quality in real time, but also sends cognitive action alarms so that air quality can be immediately improved. As it is based on the experience and know-how of CEO Jo Heun-woo, who has been working in the environmental field for more than 20 years, its high technology has already been recognized and is being used in various facilities and businesses. I met with Aircock CEO Cho Heun-woo in person and talked to him.

Please introduce your company

Aircock is a company that manufactures and services indoor air quality measuring devices and monitoring systems since its establishment in 2018, and has established itself as a leading company in the indoor air quality measurement market. It started with the purpose of providing health and peace of mind to customers through measurement and monitoring technology that can pinpoint invisible air and has been running for 7 years.

As of 2024, two types of precision air quality measuring instruments and monitoring systems based on them are being supplied to various institutions, companies, schools, and local government facilities. It is a small but strong company that is recognized for its technological prowess, recording a high repurchase rate in recognition of the reliability of its measurement data, and being adopted as equipment for various research projects and applications.

The air quality management field is one of the main projects of the Ministry of Environment and can be expanded into various air quality fields such as temperature and humidity, as well as fine dust, which can have fatal effects on cerebral infarction and respiratory diseases, and carbon dioxide, which causes loss of concentration. In particular, interest in fine dust and air quality management is increasing in Korea, and air quality management is becoming an essential element for employee welfare and securing competitiveness in space.

Please explain your main business

Aircock manufactures and sells two types of Smart Aircock indoor air quality measuring devices capable of measuring up to 9 types of air quality, and operates a cloud-based platform system that stores and analyzes data collected through the measuring devices and provides information. It is operating. In the case of measuring instruments, performance certification of each simple measuring instrument for fine dust and carbon dioxide is mandatory in accordance with the Fine Dust Act and the Indoor Air Quality Management Act. Smart Aircock provides a trustworthy product, with both products being sold receiving a grade 1 performance certification for the corresponding item.

The big difference between the two smart aircock products is the LCD display method and the LED display method. There is a difference, but in the case of LED-provided products, they are currently registered as procurement innovation prototypes. And in common with both products, our product measures and analyzes air quality and then sends a message to the user about what action to take. In that respect, it is different from other companies' products. The reason it was registered as a procurement innovation prototype is because it was recognized as a differentiating factor by providing a notification service that can improve the current situation.

In addition, the monitoring system is also optimized for facility managers to conveniently check and manage multiple air quality levels through measurement data storage and various analyses. It provides a variety of services that meet the purpose, such as managing multiple devices through a dashboard, providing real-time DID screens, and providing various analysis reports, and has features that further enhance convenience and security through cloud-based server operation.

If you have any future goals or directions

As the coronavirus began in 2020, our company, like other small and medium-sized businesses, experienced many difficulties. However, interest in environmental management is growing again after 2023, and currently, among the previously numerous air quality measurement and management companies, only those that have secured technology and reliability have survived and have been verified to some extent. Our company plans to use this year as the first year of leapfrog in the indoor air quality management business. Although many institutional issues still remain, we will strive to lead a market for coexistence by actively communicating with introducing companies and utilizing feedback.< /p>

In addition, in addition to the smart aircock air quality meter and platform service currently on sale, a service that provides daily fine dust intake through a 24-hour portable fine dust meter is also being prepared. Through this service, we will lead the market with a truly personalized service that provides the world's first truly personalized service and care for exposure to fine dust inhaled throughout the day.
