Albion proposes the next generation of social media in real space
Thanks to SNS (Social Network Service), people can communicate at any time, regardless of location. Nowadays, information is delivered only through short videos such as short forms and reels, so more and more diverse information passes through people's minds in an instant. Albion set out to improve the problems of existing SNS and create humans who can actually ‘live in reality’. Albion used augmented reality technology to create an app service that allows users to share posts in a tangible reality. We met Albion CEO Myung Bae-young, who is creating an infinitely expandable bulletin board not online but in reality.
What kind of company is Albion
Arbeon is breaking the limitations of existing augmented reality. Beyond this, we intend to live with the world of augmented reality throughout our daily lives. AR (Augmented reality, Artificial reality) is a name created by shortening Beyond, Be on to your lifestyle. To put it simply, it is a company that creates another metaverse by incorporating digital into real space.
Our core technology is Mergyware, an object and space classification technology that does not require prior learning. If you encounter an object in reality using the app created by Albion, you can see other people's writing or memories in an augmented reality space. Rather than simply sharing thoughts, you can trade related products and view advertising posts.
Since we first started the project in September 2019, we succeeded in developing a service prototype in September 2020. Currently, we are moving forward to commercialize it through Albion with 6 business partners, including Lotte Hi-Mart and BGF Networks, and 7 IP partners, including Anyrolls and Molang.
Please introduce the main service contents
Previously, on SNS, if you take a photo and share it on Instagram, the memory becomes available online. It remains in space. On the other hand, when using Albion, you can leave memories of the day in the exact space in real life, and you can freely exchange opinions with other guests, such as reviews of the food and what menu items should be ordered together by leaving a review of the food right away.
In addition, business owners can leave new product information on their products and form a community through direct chatting with customers. You can further expand your commerce by paying a certain fee to promote your product or leave a purchase window for other related products.
Until now, there were many stereotypes that augmented reality could only be used in the gaming field. However, through Albion, it creates a new metaverse space in addition to the basic function of using IP characters to decorate objects or spaces into unique spaces and show them to friends. In short, it has infinite scalability as a ‘situation-based platform’ rather than an online platform.
What goals do you have in the future
Until now, companies that have tried to commercialize using augmented reality have You would have had to download the company's own app, but Albion allows everyone to experience augmented reality using just one app. Like this, our goal is to create a space in another dimension of reality where anyone can come and have fun through one simple platform.
