한국산업기술시험원(KTL)은 국내 유일 공공 종합시험인증기관으로 표준, 기술기준에 따라 시험∙검사∙교정∙인증 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있다. KTL-항공국방신뢰성센터는 소재∙부품∙장비의 PQRS* 향상을 위한 제품 개발ᆞ생산ᆞ판매 전 단계에서의 시험분석 컨설팅 종합기술지원 부서이다. 보안검색장비 인증, 경찰, 국방 무기체계, 대테러 등 치안 안전 분야 연구개발을 수행하고 있다. *PQRS(Performance, Quality, Reliability, Safety)
항공국방신뢰성센터는 경찰장비 R&D 개선사업 중 “대테러 경찰장비 표준개발”, “대테러 경찰장비 성능검사 기술개발” 사업을 진행하고 있다. 본 과제의 연구목적은 경찰특공대원이 사용하는 대테러 경찰장비(8종)의 표준규격 개발 및 표준화 기술 연구 및 내용연수 산정을 통한 장비의 품질/신뢰성/안전성을 확보하고자 한다. 뿐만 아니라, 성능 검사 기술을 개발하여 대테러 현장에서 최적의 장비상태 유지 및 작전능력을 제고하고자 한다.
